ICM has acquired this contract after purchasing a business unit of the company HCE (Salini Impregilo Group). Works have restarted in October 2017. Works are divided substantially in two routes. The first one, from progress 2+057 until 2+457 will be an artificial tunnel with diapragm bulheads, reinforced concrete base slab and prefabricated roof. This route includes the Secondigliano railway station. The second route is a natural tunnel carried out with the traditional method for approximately 800 m. At the end of the tunnel a cavern will be created to enable the construction of the Di Vittorio Station. The station and the conncecting culverts will be made with traditional method.
