Work on the expansion of the water supply of Mwanza for a population of 400,000 inhabitants. The water supply is via 95 km of welded polyethylene pipe diameter ranging from 200mm to 350mm, while the transmission of water from pumping stations (3) to storage tanks (4) and the distribution by gravity is via cast iron spun pipes with diameters ranging from 300mm to 700mm. The storage tanks have respectively a capacity of 2.000 m3, 5.000 m3 and 13.000 m3 of water. The entire system is automated using control panels controlled by radio from the control level of storage tanks.
